Michael B. Jackson, MD, was awarded Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. He later graduated from UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formally known as Rutgers Medical School) in Piscataway, NJ in 2001. He continued his medical training at Saint Vincent’s Hospital Department of Psychiatry from 2001 to 2004 as a psychiatric resident physician, and later was selected as Chief Resident from 2004 to 2005. After completion of his residency, Dr. Jackson was selected for and completed Saint Vincent’s Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship.
Currently Dr. Jackson has a private practice in downtown Hoboken, NJ. He also works at Jersey City Medical Center on the inpatient unit and runs the Psychiatric Consultation service to the medical and surgical floors. He often teaches and lectures students, residents, and attending physicians in a variety of medical specialties on various topics in psychiatry.
Although Dr. Jackson has relocated to Hoboken, he continues to be an active participant in the residency and fellowship training at Saint Vincent’s Hospital Department of Psychiatry – Manhattan, NY. He lectures psychiatric residents on General and Forensic Psychiatry Topics and is one of the faculty attending physicians in the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship.
